The original manuscript on 16 quarto pages, written by a copyist and signed by Leeuwenhoek, is preserved at the Royal Society (MS. 1910. Early Letters L2.1). Attached are two original packets of specimens of cotton seeds. An English translation is found at Early Letters L2.2.
