great-grandmother Neeltje's nephew Adriaan Maertens Hogenhouck (-1637) was appointed to the Veertigraad on the death of his father Maerten Jans (1550-1613). He served from 1613 until 1618 when he was replaced by his broher Jacob during the verzetting (literally: repositioning).
