Leeuwenhoek wrote this letter about dental hygiene: Leeuwenhoek recommended polishing teeth with salt and ash of tobacco. He does not believe that drinking tea and coffee is bad for the teeth. He also asks for a book on silver mines in Peru to be sent to him.
