The translation of Mr. LEEWENHOECK's letter to Sir CHRISTOPHER WREN of January 22, 1682/3 was read, concerning generation from an animalcule, not an egg ; the muscles of a flea, and its testicles, the worm and nympha, the sting and wings of a gnat, and its feathers; the alteration made in the blood by sal volatile aleosum.
