Haardstedenregister (hearths register) paid by various family members as noted. This register for a tax on hearths mentions the owner as well as any renter of a building. It also has many details such as house names and owners' occupations.
Soutendam's book Een wandeling langs Delfts straten en grachten in 1600 uses the register of the 1600 tax to reconstruct Delft society at the time, district by district.
