The Dublin Philosophical Society asked the Royal Society for a copy of Letter L-154 about salts of wine and vinegar

May 28, 1685

The minutes of the Dublin Philosophical Society, formed two years earlier, were regularly read at meetings of the Royal Society and recorded in the Journal Books, so they are in Birch's History, too. This one was read at the 24 June/ 4 July 1685 (O.S./N.S.) meeting of the Royal Society.

Birch's History, vol. IV, p. 410:

A copy of Mr. LEEWENHOECK's letter concerning the salts of wine and vinegar, &c. was desired; as also Dr. GARDEN's discourse of the weather.
