Dirk was a master baker, later was the baker for the Charitaathuis on the Schoolsteeg.
They had four children while they were living in the Gulden Hoofd, in 1747, 1749, 1750, and 1752. Only the fourth lived long enough to get a name, Jan. He died before he was six months old.
