Isaac Newton wrote Letter L-595 to Abraham Edens, a receipt for the cabinet with 26 magnifying glasses

The date is New Style, which was eleven days ahead of the Old Style date of 7 November 1723 used in London.

On the same day that the Royal Society received Leeuwenhoek's bequest, brought by Abraham Edens under cover of a letter from Maria van Leeuwenhoek, Isaac Newton wrote

The Royal Society have this day receiv'd at their meeting, a Cabinet containing twenty six microscopes, left to them by ye late Mr. Antony van Leeuwenhoek, & brought over by Mr. Abraham Edens.

He dated it Crane Court, Nov. 7th 1723, and he signed it "Isaac Newton P.R.S."
